Prior to joining Shiver Hamilton in 2017, Maggy began her legal career as a judicial clerk to Thomas W. Thrash, Jr., the Chief Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Following the completion of her clerkship, she worked to defend a corporation facing multiple individual products liability suits as the result of a decertified class action.
Scott Campbell joined Shiver Hamilton in 2013 to help represent individuals in Georgia who needed a strong trial attorney and advocacy in rough, uncertain times. He was made partner in 2015. Scott has been recognized as one of the top young lawyers in Georgia and named a Georgia Rising Star by Atlanta Magazine and the Super Lawyers publication. Scott has also been identified as among Georgia’s Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine.
Marla joined the Shiver Hamilton team after 25 years of practicing law, with the last 16 years devoted exclusively to the representation of individuals in significant personal injury and wrongful death matters. Marla has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Atlanta Magazine and holds an “AV-Preeminent” peer-review rating from Martindale Hubbell Lexis-Nexis.
Darrell has more than 24 years of experience in personal injury and insurance law. His legal background includes working for over a decade in the Atlanta office of a leading Florida plaintiff’s firm, where he focused on insurance bad faith and catastrophic personal injury cases in Georgia and Florida. Before changing the focus of his practice to representing plaintiffs, Darrell served as a corporate claims attorney for one of the nation’s largest property and casualty insurance companies, where he managed litigation throughout Georgia involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death and punitive damages.
Kyle applies the tireless work ethic he learned as a varsity football scholar-athlete at Georgia Tech to his daily pursuit of justice for clients. After years defending corporations and insurance companies at a preeminent national trial defense firm, Kyle joined Shiver Hamilton to help individuals and families. Kyle now counsels, cares, and advocates for clients who have suffered serious personal injury or wrongfully lost a loved one at the hands of negligence, corporate wrongdoing, or crime resulting from negligent security.
Prior to joining Shiver Hamilton, Kyle was a partner at a well-known leading national and international law firm where he spent the past 12 years defending large companies in consumer class actions, business torts, insurance bad faith, and other high-stakes litigation in courts across the country, including federal multidistrict litigation (MDL). Prior to his time in private practice, Kyle served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Georgia.
