$3,500,000 tractor-trailer injury settlement

We represented a man who was hit by a tractor-trailer and suffered significant disc injuries requiring surgery.

After leaving Home Depot, our client was sideswiped by a tractor-trailer who ran a red light.  The tractor-trailer driver did not stop to render aid.

We located witnesses who provided the name and contact information for the trucking company. Initial attempts to resolve the case failed because the trucking company denied its driver was involved in a wreck at all, as there was no video.

We immediately filed suit and subpoenaed documents and records from the trucking company. We secured GPS data on the truck which demonstrated the truck was going through the intersection at the time of the collision.

Despite this, the trucking company continued to deny the claim alleging it was another trucking company with a similar name.

We deposed the representative of that company who testified they had no trucks within a 50 mile radius of the accident location at the time of the accident.

Our client had approximately $400,000 in medical bills.  The trucking company initially offered $150,000 to settle the case.  Two months before the case was set for trial, The trucking company and the insured elected to settle the case for $3,500,000.
