In Community Van Rear-Ends Semi Leaving 2 Dead and Special Needs Adults Injured

In the Union City area off I-85 at Buffington Road and Royal South Parkway in Fulton County on July 15, a van that was transporting special needs adults rear-ended a semi-truck. At the scene, two were pronounced dead while the rest of the victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Some of the passengers in the van sustained extensive injuries and stayed in the hospital.

Fault has yet to be determined in this fatal van accident, but the Georgia State Patrol is looking into potential causes of the van accident. The van was transporting 8 adults from the InCommunity center back to their families when they crashed into the semi-truck. InCommunity and the families of those in the accident expressed their grief and desire to know the cause of the truck accident.

Rear-end collisions are extremely common, with millions reported every year. However, it is more likely for fatalities to occur when a rear-end collision occurs with a semi-truck. Due to the sheer size and weight of semi-trucks, injuries and fatalities tend to be more common in rear-end truck accidents.

Therefore, it is important to retain an experienced semi-truck accident attorney following a crash. If you or a loved one was involved in a rear-end truck or van accident, do not hesitate to call our seasoned van accident attorneys so that we can fight for the compensation you deserve.
