$3,100,000 Settlement – Improper Loading By Towing Company

Shiver Hamilton Campbell’s client worked for a car dealership as a technician. The dealership hired the defendant towing company to use its truck to unload a toolbox out of the back of a box truck. The towing company sent a truck that lacked the capacity to safely handle the load of the toolbox.

Through forensic analysis, Shiver Hamilton Campbell was able to determine the specific mistakes the tow operator made that ultimately resulted in the tow truck bed becoming unstable and tipping during the unloading process. When that happened, our client was thrown off the tow bed and sustained a lower leg (tibial plateau) fracture.
